Hatoma Island
Located on the north side of Iriomote Island, it can be reached in about 15 minutes by ferry from Uehara Port. The island is attractive for its beautiful, sparkling lapis lazuli sea, also known as Hatoma Blue. The island is small, with a circumference of about 4km, so you can get around by rental bicycle or on foot. Take a stroll through the untouched landscapes of the Yaeyama Islands.
Hatoma Island is home to beautiful coral reefs, making diving and snorkeling extremely popular activities. The waters of the island are some of the clearest in the Yaeyama Islands, and you'll find tropical fish, coral reefs, and other scenery unique to the tropics.

Barras Island
It is located about 10 minutes by ferry from Uehara Port on Iriomote Island. Barasu Island, which appears due to the ebb and flow of the tides, is a phantom island that is not on any maps! All that Barasu Island has is pure white coral sand and sparkling emerald green sea. You will feel like you are in paradise.
It's also a very popular snorkeling spot! You'll see colorful coral reefs and tropical fish right in front of you, and if you're lucky, you might even encounter sea turtles. At dusk, you can see the beautiful sight of the sun setting over the orange-hued ocean.

Pinaisara Falls
Boasting the largest drop in Okinawa Prefecture at 54m, in the Iriomote Island dialect "pinai" means "beard" and "sara" means "something that hangs down". It was named after its appearance that "hangs down like a beard". Canoe through the mangroves and trek through the jungle. When you arrive at the basin of the falls, you are sure to be healed by the negative ions! From above the falls, you can see the coral reefs of the Yaeyama Sea, Barasu Island and Hatoma Island.
