Sasara: An inn with beautiful architecture created by Hida craftsmen and famous hot springs

Sasara, where you can luxuriously enjoy Gero Onsen, one of Japan's three most famous hot springs, is a special space where architectural beauty and hospitality come together in harmony. Each room has its own unique style, and the entire inn feels like a work of art, such as the antique-style Sasarakan and the old-style Japanese-style detached building Yurari, built by a Hida shrine carpenter.
The hot spring water comes from the source of Gero Onsen, which is known for being gentle on the skin and is known as "beauty water." In the large observation bath and the open-air cypress bath, you can enjoy the water to your heart's content while looking out at the night view of the hot spring town and nature.
Another attraction is the restaurant's carefully prepared dishes that make use of local ingredients. The particularly popular "All-Hida Beef Plan" allows you to taste the highest quality Hida beef prepared in a variety of ways.
Enjoy a special moment at Sasara, where extraordinary luxury and relaxation awaits.

Gero hot spring town

Gero hot spring town

Gero Onsen in Gifu Prefecture is one of Japan's three most famous hot springs. Its viscous water is gentle on the skin and said to be good for the skin.
In the hot spring town, foot baths, gourmet food, and tourist spots are all within walking distance. Because it is tightly packed, you can enjoy walking around during a two-day trip. You can also take a tour of the baths at unique hotels and inns.

Moriyama Shrine

Moriyama Shrine

Moriyama Shrine, located about a 20-minute drive from the city, is famous for its XNUMX-year-old weeping cherry tree.
This cherry tree, which is representative of Gero, blooms proudly, covering the stone steps of the shrine all the way up to the torii gate, and is about 15 meters tall, giving it an imposing feel.
It's nice to enjoy the impressive sight of the trees in full bloom, but even when they are only 50-60% in bloom, the dignity of the ancient trees and the view of the shrine are very elegant, making this a spot worth visiting even early in the season.

Hida Kosaka Waterfall Tour

Hida Kosaka Waterfall Tour

Hida Kosaka stands at the foot of Mt. Ontake, which is 3067 meters above sea level. More than 6 waterfalls have been formed by the steep terrain starting from Mt. Ontake, including the rock formations at the end of the lava flow created by the eruption of Mt. Ontake about 200 years ago, and the abundant water nurtured by the vast forests.

This apple orchard spreads across gentle hills, and you can experience apple picking from mid-September to mid-November.
Please come and taste the apples grown with the blessings of the earth, which are cultivated with reduced use of pesticides and no chemical fertilizers. The orchard is barrier-free, so that both caregivers and those being cared for can enjoy the day.
At the apple orchard, you can eat as many apples as you want for an unlimited time, so some families bring their own lunch and spend the whole day there.

Shirakawa-go

Shirakawa-go

Shirakawa-go is a historic settlement located in Shirakawa-mura, Ono-gun, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. The area is known for its unique architectural style called Gassho-zukuri.
Gassho-style houses are characterized by their steeply sloping triangular roofs. This shape was adapted to the harsh climate of Shirakawa-go, an area with heavy snowfall, and allows snow to slide off naturally.
