At Onyado Taketori Monogatari, there are over 30 types of drinks available for you to enjoy during your stay.
We overturn the typical image of "free drinks" with our "Adult Flavor Cocoa," ginger ale, lemonade, craft cola, and other drinks all handmade by the owner, as well as our hand-dripped coffee, which is made with care and attention to detail. These drinks are available from 15:30 PM to 17:30 PM. At other times, until 10 PM, you can enjoy a wide variety of drinks and snacks at our self-service drink corner.
In addition, please feel free to relax in our lounge space, where we offer a wide selection of bottled carbonated drinks, fruit juices, and other drinks that are good for both body and soul.

The baths at Onyado Taketori Monogatari are characterized by their soft texture, and are drawn from the Ogano Onsen Dairyuji hot spring, which has been popular with many people since the Edo period. During your stay, you can bathe as many times as you like, provided the baths are available.
In the morning, natural light pours in gently through the skylight, and at night the illuminated bamboo forest creates a fantastical glow, creating a moment that makes you feel as if you are in the story of Princess Kaguya.
Around the bathtub, there is a single shining bamboo in the bamboo forest... "Among those bamboos, there was a single shining bamboo" -- this line comes to life in this bath, allowing you to "experience" the story.
The soft green of spring, the coolness of the deep bamboo in summer, the quiet breeze of autumn, and the snow-covered landscapes in winter... Enjoy a relaxing time that will soothe your soul, woven together by the nature and hot springs of each season.

Located close to the mountains and rivers of Chichibu, Onyado Taketori Monogatari has been pursuing "cuisine that can only be enjoyed here."
The restaurant's specialties include homemade smoked food, which the owner has perfected over the course of more than 30 years, and the addictively soft and melt-in-your-mouth walnut tofu, both of which are Taketori's signature dishes created by the owner and his wife. Everything that can be handmade, including miso paste and dressings, is also homemade.
We use unrefined, naturally-sourced salt and sugar, and value flavors that are gentle on the body and soothe the soul.
We purposely do not use seafood. "Chichibu does not have an ocean, but it does have beautiful mountains and rivers." Based on this philosophy, we offer mountain delicacies that make the most of the flavors nurtured in the land of Chichibu.
It may not be luxurious, but please enjoy a heartwarming meal filled with more sincerity than anywhere else.

Chichibu Shrine
Chichibu Shrine in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, is an ancient shrine with a history of approximately 2,000 years, serving as the main guardian deity of the Chichibu region. The main deity enshrined here is Yatogamikane no Mikoto, the god of wisdom, and is said to grant academic success and good fortune in work.
The current shrine building was rebuilt in 1592 with a donation from Tokugawa Ieyasu, and is full of highlights, such as the brilliantly colored sculptures of the "Three Genki Wise Monkeys" and the "North Star Owl." The "Chichibu Night Festival," held every year on December 3rd, is one of Japan's leading winter festivals and is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, attracting many tourists.
Located just a 3-minute walk from Chichibu Station on the Chichibu Railway, Chichibu Shrine is a central tourist spot in Chichibu, where history, art, and faith come together in harmony.
Mitaka Shrine
Mitsumine Shrine, located deep in the mountains of Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, is one of the Kanto region's most powerful spots, located at an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters. The two main deities enshrined here are Izanagi and Izanami, and the shrine is also known for its belief in the "Oinusama (wolf)," a god's messenger. The grounds are lined with a majestic Zuishinmon gate, three torii gates, and sacred trees over 800 years old, creating an atmosphere of miraculous power.
As one of the three Chichibu shrines, it has been revered since ancient times and is said to bring good fortune, ward off evil, and bring people together.
Access is via a mountain path that crosses Lake Chichibu, and the mystical scenery shrouded in mist is also a charming sight. It is a mysterious sacred place where nature and faith coexist in harmony.
