Guest Room Tsuru (Western-style room)
A spacious Western-style room of 55㎡. Comes with a natural hot spring bath that you can use anytime, and the wooden deck offers a great view, allowing you to relax in this spacious room.
The pH9 spring water is thick enough to be felt the moment you touch it. The room comes with an indoor bath of natural hot spring water, so you can enjoy the hot spring as much as you like, whenever you like during your stay.
You can see the JR Kyudai Line tracks over the vineyards from the terrace. If you're lucky, you can see trains such as the Yufuin no Mori and the Yufu Express.
Guest room: Tou (Western-style room)
This room for two people has a terrace with a view of the rural landscape and local trains, an indoor bath with natural hot spring water directly from the source, and is subtly decorated with Yufuin art, creating a stylish atmosphere.

Guest Room Ao (Japanese-style room)
A spacious Japanese-style room with a living room and a bedroom. You can see a small garden from the window. The warmth of the tatami mats and wood, and the stone paving and gravel in the entrance and corridor are reminiscent of a Japanese garden.
When you arrive, the futon will already be laid out in the bedroom of the two Japanese-style rooms. We aim to not disturb you as much as possible when you enter your room.
Once you cross the quaint stone-paved corridor, you will find a rock bath that is designed like an open-air bath.
Of course, the hot spring is natural and flows directly from the source. Looking out the large windows at the small Japanese garden and the sky, you can enjoy a luxurious moment as if you were monopolizing the flow of time and nature of Minami-Yufu. The early morning mist and the winter snow scenery are especially special.

Bungo beef is raised in the rich nature of Oita. It is the ultimate masterpiece of beef, produced with great care and love, with particular attention paid to lineage, breed, and feed.
Among them, we offer the highest quality meat called "Itadaki" Oita Wagyu beef, which has a meat quality of grade 4 or higher.

This is a healthy vegetable-based breakfast, with slowly simmered pot-au-feu as the main dish.
More than 10 different colorful side dishes arranged in moderate amounts on the plate, the faint smell of freshly cooked rice, and the sound of the pot boiling will whet your appetite.

At Jiyukan, we cultivate our own vineyards for wine with great care, using organic methods and minimal pesticides. Our wine is made from grapes grown in the blessed natural environment of Yufuin. Why not enjoy some wine with your dinner? We have two types available: red and white.

Right next to "Tantoso" is a vineyard surrounded by lush nature. The grapes harvested in this field are used to brew the inn's original wine, which has gained a reputation for its flavor. The wine, with its mellow aroma and deep flavor, is loved by many guests, and many of them visit just for the wine.
You can enjoy the luxury of sipping this special wine while staying at the inn. Enjoy a moment of healing for your mind and body as you sip on freshly made wine while taking in the view of the vineyards.
Lake Kinrin
Lake Kinrin, located in the naturally rich area of Yufuin, is one of the most famous tourist spots in the area.
The lake was originally called "Gake-n-shita-ike" (the pond below the mountain) in the Oita dialect because it is located below Mt. Yufu. It is said that in 1884 (Meiji 17), the Confucian scholar Mori Kuso named it "Lake Kinrin" (Golden Scales) after seeing the scales of the fish in the lake shining in the setting sun.
There are walking paths around the lake, where you can watch fish and waterfowl swimming, making it a perfect place for a stroll.
Additionally, in the early morning hours from autumn to winter, you can see Lake Kinrin shrouded in a fantastical morning mist.
Yunotsubo Kaido
Yunotsubo Kaido, located about 30 minutes on the road from JR Yufuin Station to Lake Kinrin, has around 40 shops, including souvenir shops selling Oita's specialty yuzu kosho and other local delicacies, as well as restaurants serving local delicacies such as toriten. The most famous is the "Yufuin Gold Award Croquette." This croquette won the gold award at the "National Croquette Competition" held by NHK, so if you come to Yunotsubo Kaido, be sure to try it at least once.
There are many other sweet shops, including "Yufuin Milch" which sells baked donuts without deep frying, and "Purin Dora" which is a dorayaki with a pudding sandwiched between two pancakes from "Hanakoji Kikuya". If you want to walk around to work up an appetite, we recommend the Oita Riverside area, which is just one street away. You can enjoy the unique atmosphere of Yufuin.
Mantoso is a ryokan that only accepts 1 guests per day. There are not many tourist attractions within walking distance, but it is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend some time relaxing while looking at the beautiful natural scenery.
