The perfect accommodation for sightseeing

The hotel is in a great location, just a 3-minute walk from Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, a symbol of Takayama. It also has excellent access to Sanno Street, which is bustling with people during the spring morning market and the autumn Takayama Festival, making it a very convenient base for your trip.
Take a stroll to the Miyagawa Morning Market or Jinya-mae Morning Market in the fresh early morning air. Interacting with locals and experiencing the fresh flavors of Hida will add color to your trip.
It is also within walking distance of the Takayama Festival (Hachiman Festival), a traditional autumn event. One of the attractions of Iguchi Inn is that you can experience the fantastic night festival, decorated with trinket floats and lanterns, right nearby.
If you're tired from sightseeing during the day, take a break in the hot springs. Then, at night, we recommend heading out to "Takayama Night" and exploring Takayama's townhouse streets and the izakayas and bars of the old townscape. Just a little away from the city center, you can enjoy the perfect balance between tranquility and the bustle.

Enjoy the blessings of Yufuin straight from the source
Iguchi Inn's healing baths

At Oyado Iguchi, a secluded retreat in Hida Takayama, you can enjoy the Hida Takayama Onsen, a hot spring that has been flowing directly from the source for ages, using meltwater from the Northern Alps. The pure natural water that seeps deep into the earth becomes smooth and gentle on the skin, and is known for gently healing the body from the inside out.
The bath is small, but every time you sink into the tub, your mind will begin to relax. Just close your eyes and the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the fatigue of travel will wash away.
Located close to Takayama Station, the tourist hub, our inn has long been loved by both domestic and international travelers as a hidden inn where you can feel the warmth of a traditional townhouse. After enjoying Hida beef and local cuisine, why not try the "luxury of doing nothing" while soaking in the hot springs?

Miyagawa Morning Market

Miyagawa Morning Market

Every morning, one of Takayama's famous morning markets opens along the Miyagawa River.
Since the Edo period, it has developed into a market for rice, mulberry, flowers, etc., and from the mid-Meiji period, farmers' wives began to display vegetables, and it came to be called a morning market.
The morning market is located in two places: in front of the Jinya Square and along the Miyagawa River.
There is something to enjoy in every season, including fresh vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
You can hear simple conversations with local ladies and the pure Takayama dialect.

高山祭

高山祭

The Hachiman Festival, known as the Autumn Takayama Festival, is held at Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine. It has been said to be a festival to pray for a good harvest as the fruitful autumn approaches, or a festival to give thanks for the harvest.
It is what is commonly known as the "agricultural festival." In addition to being viewed as an agricultural festival, the Hachiman Festival also has a strong tendency to be a "townspeople festival." As the castle town continued to expand and its economy developed, wealthy merchants emerged and the townspeople's power grew, leading to active investment in the festival, centered around the floats. This has led to the festival's development as a townspeople festival as well as an agricultural festival.
