There are activities for everyone from children to adults, so the whole family can have a great time together. In particular, rafting is available for anyone aged 100 or over and about 5cm tall (except from April to June and when the water level is high).
Even if you are not confident in your Japanese, our staff will be happy to assist you, so you can have a comfortable stay. We especially recommend rafting and canyoning! Rafting is an exciting water sport where you work together to go down rapids in a large rubber boat that can fit up to eight people. Half-day water rafting courses are held several times in the morning and afternoon, and are fun for both children and adults.
Canyoning is a sport where you slide down a stream while sliding down smooth rocks. You go down the valley with the flow of a river or stream using only your body, while feeling the great outdoors in the canyon. Canyoning originated in France and has been popular in Europe for a long time, and is now enjoyed all over the world. You can experience the thrill and a sense of unity with nature by sliding down natural water slides that have been carved into rocks by the water flow, or by jumping into a large natural pool and swimming.
Please try it once to experience the exhilaration that you can't get from other activities. You will definitely become addicted to the fun. Please give it a try!

Here in the Minakami Onsen area, where rafting is possible from the Kanto region in just two hours, you can enjoy rafting in the clear waters of the upper reaches of the Tone River.
For groups of 6 or 7 people, one boat will be used. For groups of 1 or less, you will be sharing with other groups.
If you want to enjoy rafting or just enjoy nature, come and enjoy the rapids of the water at this world-famous rafting spot!

Minakami Outdoors is the outdoor company that first held canyoning in Japan and spread it to other parts of the country. At TOP Minakami, we offer a variety of canyoning courses, from beginner courses to advanced courses, and even family canyoning, which even small children can participate in.

Rafting
The Tone River rafting course is attracting attention from around the world! We are looking for challengers!
On the day, please come to the designated time, listen to the explanation of insurance, check in and make payment, then change clothes.
After changing, we head to the starting point by company bus or car! The riverbank is cool and full of negative ions! After that, we receive a safety briefing and practice paddling before going rafting!
Minakami is the mecca of rafting! The only way to experience the thrill of rafting is to go rafting on the Tone River!!
A thrilling outdoor experience! Adrenaline-pumping springtime Minakami rapids rafting!
Splash! Whitewater rafting is a thrill! Children can join in from spring, but in summer the water level is lower so even small children can enjoy the experience safely!

It's not possible in early spring because of the high water volume, but you can experience it from summer to autumn when the water volume is more stable!
During the tour, we will also take a group photo.

Buggies are four-wheel drive vehicles that can traverse a variety of rough terrain, including uneven ground, and are an outdoor activity that allows you to enjoy active driving and maneuverability to your heart's content.

Tanigawadake
Mt. Tanigawadake is the symbol of Minakami Town, which was registered as a UNESCO Ecopark in 2017. It is one of the 29 famous mountains in Japan and has two peaks, Tomano-mimi at 1963m above sea level and Okino-mimi at 1977m above sea level. It has many faces, including being a treasure trove of alpine plants and a mecca for rock climbing.
Tanigawadake Ropeway
From Doaiguchi Station to Tenjindaira Station. The Tanigawadake Ropeway covers a total length of 2400m and an elevation difference of 570m in about 15 minutes (fastest 7 minutes). Enjoy a 15-minute aerial stroll in a stable, double-track, automatic circulation gondola.
