A relaxing hot spring inn nestled in the mountains
Experience Iwate's nature and Japanese atmosphere
Located in the quiet mountains of Iwate in Tohoku, our hot spring inn is a relaxing Japanese space where time seems to flow slowly. Because it is located on high ground, it is surrounded by beautiful nature in all four seasons, allowing you to enjoy different scenery with each season.
The building is decorated with colorful seasonal flowers and has a display of Iwate's traditional crafts, including Nambu ironware, giving visitors a sense of warmth and elegance. In addition, the alcove pillars, carefully selected by the proprietress, are all individually designed, and one of the pleasures of the building is admiring their beauty. At the shop, you can purchase Nambu ironware and other traditional crafts as souvenirs.
Surrounded by Iwate's lush nature, come and spend a relaxing time in the nostalgic Japanese atmosphere.

Oshuku Onsen has a history of over 450 years.
All of our hot springs are 100% natural. In the open-air bath, you can fully experience a sense of oneness with nature while watching the scenery of the mountains that change with the seasons and listening to the chirping of birds.
The indoor baths include a large, spacious bath and a "Beitou Stone Bath" that uses rare Beitou stone. Boasting an abundant supply of hot spring water, you can enjoy it at your leisure at any time you like, such as late at night or early in the morning. (*Cannot be used after 9:00am due to cleaning)
Please enjoy our exquisite hot springs that will soothe your daily fatigue and refresh your mind and body.

Freshly steamed rice is delicious! Homemade dishes for every season
Our hotel serves dishes that are carefully handcrafted using an abundance of fresh local ingredients. We purchase "Akita Komachi" rice from contracted farmers and cook it fluffy, bringing out the natural sweetness and flavor of the rice. At breakfast, we hear many happy guests say "The rice is delicious!", and some guests end up asking for seconds. It has become so popular that we now cook extra rice to make sure we don't run out.
In addition, to make your mealtime even more enjoyable, we also offer a wide selection of drinks to complement the food, such as Iwate's local sake and craft beer. One of the attractions of our restaurant is that we use locally produced ingredients and seasonal cuisine, so you can enjoy different flavors every time you visit.
Our cuisine is made entirely by hand, without using any pre-made products. Enjoy a moment that satisfies both body and mind with the gentle flavors that make the most of the natural flavors of the ingredients and our heartfelt hospitality.

Located about an hour's drive from our hotel, this town is full of history, with the streets where samurai once lived still remaining to this day. The Ashina clan created the townscape that continues to this day in Kakunodate, where samurai residences are located, in 1620 (Genwa 6), at the beginning of the Edo period.
