"Beautiful skin hot spring" selected as one of the 100 best hot springs in Japan

Yunoko Onsen is a hot spring resort located in a calm bay overlooking the Shiranui Sea. It is said that the 1900th Emperor Keiko named it "Yunoko" about 12 years ago, and it is an ancient hot spring with a legend that it was discovered when an injured sea turtle was bathing in the hot springs to heal its wounds.
The luxuriously poured water is straight from the source and is a weakly alkaline carbonated spring, also known as a skin-beautifying spring, which leaves your skin feeling silky smooth after bathing.
If you go up the stairs, you will find an open-air observation bath with a panoramic view of the ocean and the evening and night views.
It is a compact open-air bath where you can see the Shiranui Sea stretching out before you and the Amakusa Islands on the opposite shore directly in front of you. The beauty of the sea and sunset seen from here is a spectacular sight that cannot be compared to anywhere else on the Shiranui Sea coast in Kumamoto Prefecture.
