The Shiranui Sea is famous as a breeding ground for wild seahorses. If you dive in the waters of Minamata, you can't miss out on observing seahorses, as a new species called "himetatsu" was discovered there for the first time in 116 years.　

The coast of Yunoko Onsen, with its many rocky areas that are home to many fish, is a great fishing spot. It is popular with beginners and families as a base for safe fishing, with fences to prevent people from falling into the water.

Yunoko offers a wide range of marine activities, including SUP, sea kayaking and outrigger canoeing. National SUP competitions are also held here.

Guests can enjoy fishing at the fishing park and beach within walking distance of the hotel. From April to November, we also offer a fishing boat for a hairtail fishing experience.

The Shiranui Sea is one of the few spawning grounds for seahorses in Japan. You can enjoy scuba diving in the sea, where you can feel the four seasons as seaweed and other marine plants and ecological activity change with each season.
