Kyushu Bungo three major hot springs "Amagase Onsen"
Amagase Onsen is a hot spring with a long history and is even recorded in the Bungo no Kuni Fudoki of the Nara period. This hot spring is said to have opened 1300 years ago, and is even mentioned in the Bungo no Kuni Fudoki of the Nara period. It is considered one of the three major hot springs in Bungo, along with Beppu and Yufuin in Kyushu.Amagase, located on both banks of the Kusu River, is a city filled with the calming power of water.Because the hot water comes out in a large amount, the bathtub always overflows without any circulation, and the sodium chloride hydrogen carbonate spring quality is effective for neuralgia and diabetes, allowing you to relax to the core. .

Jion Falls
This two-tiered waterfall is located on the border of Amase-cho and Kusu-cho, and the rich water that flows down with fine sprays is spectacular. It is also known as ``Urami Falls,'' and you can see the back side of the waterfall from the promenade that leads to Shimo Falls. It's even more spectacular during the fall foliage season and when the leaves are fresh green, so it's recommended. At night, the entire waterfall is lit up in green.
