Hita Onsen is a hot spring rich in metasilicic acid, which is rich in moisturizing ingredients, and it will refresh your body and mind while gently moisturizing your skin. The cold water bath, which is an essential part of the sauna, is kept at an ideal 16.5 degrees.
Additionally, each room is equipped with a "relaxing space" where fresh air from the outside can flow in comfortably, allowing you to relax and unwind while taking in the magnificent views of the Mikuma River.
Please enjoy your special time without having to worry about anyone else.

Local sake from Hita, the "city of sake,"
Kaiseki cuisine developed for sauna enthusiasts
Hita is a "sake capital" blessed with abundant water and climate. Along with fine sake produced by a local brewery, we have prepared a special "sauna kaiseki" meal to soothe your body after a good sweat in the sauna. Start with a special soup that gently replenishes the salt lost through sweat. With a refined palate, you can enjoy the natural flavor of the ingredients even more.
Enjoy to your heart's content, each dish made with carefully selected, rich ingredients from Oita and Kyushu, and each dish is memorable and will bring a smile to your face, in a private dining area.
We also have a wide selection of Hita's local sake, famous sake from around the country, and carefully selected wines to complement the food.

Enjoy kaiseki cuisine on a houseboat.
A special experience that can only be had here
At the Mikuma River that flows in front of our hotel, from late May to the end of October, you can experience traditional cormorant fishing up close while savoring kaiseki cuisine made with an abundance of seasonal ingredients at night, when the fantastic lights are reflected on the river's surface. A blissful time surrounded by the murmuring of the river and the cool breeze.
Enjoying kaiseki cuisine on board a pleasure boat is a luxurious experience that can only be found here, no matter where you search in Japan.

Cormorant fishing and houseboats in Hita
The skillful techniques of cormorant fishermen have been passed down for 400 years.
The view from the boat is indescribably atmospheric, and the lights of the houseboats seen from the riverbank are magical.
Also, the taste of sweetfish enjoyed on the boat is exceptional.

Retro walking around Mameda
During the Edo period, Mameda Town was under the direct control of the Shogunate and had a prosperous merchant culture. The nostalgic streetscape with white walls and tiled roofs still remains, and the mansions of wealthy merchants such as the Hirose family and the Kusano family are reminiscent of the prosperity of the past.
In addition, if you leave the bustle of Mameda Town and go to the banks of the Kagetsu River, you will forget about your daily life and have a relaxing time listening to the sound of the river and the water birds playing.
Rickshaws are also running!

Yabakei
Yabakei is a scenic spot in Nakatsu city, next to Hita city, and is known as one of Japan's three most beautiful natural landscapes. It is dotted with many spectacular views and offers a variety of seasonal colors to enjoy.
Many people visit especially during the autumn foliage season.

To mark its 100th anniversary, the hotel will reopen in April 2023 as a sauna inn, with saunas, hot spring baths, and cold baths in all guest rooms.
Each of the eight rooms is equipped with a sauna with a different concept, allowing you to enjoy the cold bath and hot spring to your heart's content in a private space. In addition, in the "Totonoi Space" overlooking the Mikuma River, you can spend a blissful relaxation time while taking in the majestic scenery of the Mikuma River.
Sauna, hot springs, fine cuisine, and pleasure boats - a luxurious experience you can only have here.
