Antiques carefully selected by the owner are scattered throughout the building, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that will relax you.
Each detached building is equipped with a private open-air bath and indoor bath, so you can relax and enjoy the hot spring water, free-flowing from the source and with flora falling from the baths, without being disturbed by anyone.
Get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a quiet and luxurious stay.

A relaxing moment wrapped in soft water
The bathtub is filled with natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source, with milky white mineral deposits dancing in the air. The viscous water that envelopes the skin and leaves it smooth is a bicarbonate chloride spring, and is known as a "beauty bath" that gently removes old dead skin cells. The large baths at the inn, "Iwana-no-Yu" and "Yuragi-Yu," are available to enjoy on a daily basis, and in the detached rooms, you can luxuriously enjoy the same hot spring water in the private open-air bath and indoor bath.
In addition, a five-minute walk from the premises is the day-trip hot spring facility "Kotohira Onsen Yume Sansui." It has a variety of baths and is available free of charge to guests staying at the hotel. You can experience the charm of the hot spring as many times as you like during your stay.

Enjoy Kaiseki cuisine with all five senses, tasting the four seasons
Our specialty is the monthly Kaiseki cuisine, which incorporates the bounty of Oita's mountains and seas. Each dish is prepared using seasonal ingredients and the head chef's skill and sensibility to bring out the natural flavor of the ingredients. Enjoy the beautiful colors and memorable flavors that breathe the season into your meal.
The rice is locally grown in the fertile soil of the waterfront town of Hita. It is characterized by its fine grains and subtle sweetness, and is pounded three-tenths in a stone mill every day and cooked in a ceramic pot until fluffy. Its chewy texture and aroma are the ideal form of rice. Once you try it, you will surely be in for an unforgettable "gourmet feast."
Due to its popularity, this rice is now available for purchase at the front desk. Please purchase it as a memento of your trip or as a souvenir for your home.

Cormorant fishing and houseboats in Hita
The skillful techniques of cormorant fishermen have been passed down for 400 years.
The view from the boat is indescribably atmospheric, and the lights of the houseboats seen from the riverbank are magical.
Also, the taste of sweetfish enjoyed on the boat is exceptional.

Retro walking around Mameda
During the Edo period, Mameda Town was under the direct control of the Shogunate and had a prosperous merchant culture. The nostalgic streetscape with white walls and tiled roofs still remains, and the mansions of wealthy merchants such as the Hirose family and the Kusano family are reminiscent of the prosperity of the past.
In addition, if you leave the bustle of Mameda Town and go to the banks of the Kagetsu River, you will forget about your daily life and have a relaxing time listening to the sound of the river and the water birds playing.
Rickshaws are also running!

Yabakei
Yabakei is a scenic spot in Nakatsu city, next to Hita city, and is known as one of Japan's three most beautiful natural landscapes. It is dotted with many spectacular views and offers a variety of seasonal colors to enjoy.
Many people visit especially during the autumn foliage season.

The 11 guest rooms, consisting of a thatched roof main building and a tasteful annex, all have different layouts and furnishings, and are popular for offering something new to discover with every visit. Enjoy a moment of nostalgic tranquility surrounded by antiques.
In the building, you can enjoy the "Beauty Bath" with its thick, flowing hot spring water and flecked with hot spring minerals. In addition to the indoor and outdoor baths, you can also use the various baths at "Yume Sansui" a 5-minute walk away, all free of charge.
The meal is a multi-course meal made with seasonal ingredients and the chef's creative ideas. Enjoy the relaxing flavors of locally grown rice, carefully cooked in a hagama pot, made from rice grown in the fertile soil of the waterside town of Hita.
