Asashio, a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) specializing in fresh seafood, offers a view of Lake Hamana.

Shizuoka Prefecture / Kosai City

An inn right in front of Lake Hamana with lake views in all rooms.

Our inn is a culinary inn near the scenic Bentenjima of Lake Hamana. Nearly 50 years ago, in the 40s, we were running a fishing boat, but we started a restaurant out of the desire to feed our fishing boat customers delicious food.
In 57, it became an inn, and I met many customers there. Enjoy a luxurious moment near Lake Hamana, which brings you the rich ingredients nurtured by nature throughout the four seasons.

Delicious dishes made with locally caught fresh seafood and vegetables.

Serve hot foods while they're hot, and cold foods while they're cold. It's the basics of eating deliciously. Of course, you also have to be particular about the material.
We purchase products ourselves and select them with our own eyes. We serve not only fish and shellfish caught in the local Maisaka Port and Lake Hamana, but also local vegetables grown in the land of Enshu, which are delicious, fresh, and of good quality.
You can enjoy delicious dishes that will satisfy your customers. We hope you have a delicious time.

Why not take a leisurely stroll?

Lake Hamana spreads out in front of our hotel. There, you can see the people who have lived with Lake Hamana since ancient times, and the various forms of Lake Hamana that have changed over time.
A gentle breeze gliding over the lake, people cultivating seaweed, the sun setting and the water surface turning the color of sunset... There is also a walking path behind the hotel, so why not enjoy a leisurely stroll? Enjoy the charm of Lake Hamana to your heart's content.
